Central Minnesota sits in hail country. When a storm hits, we document every square of damage, meet your adjuster on your roof, and restore your home to better than before. You pay your deductible, never more.
After a big storm, the first knock on your door is usually the least trustworthy one. Storm chasers follow the hail map, quote fast, and are two states away when the workmanship fails. Committed 365 is the opposite: a local company, here before the storm and here after the warranty card is printed, five minutes away in Waite Park. Our first job is a free, honest inspection, and if your roof isn't damaged, we tell you so and leave.
Storm restoration is more than swapping shingles. Hail bruises shingle mats that fail years later, wind creases shingles that look fine from the ground, and the same storm that hit your roof usually hit your vents, flashing, gutters, and siding. We inspect and document the whole exterior, and we restore it as a system: Owens Corning roofing components that work together, plus the code items Minnesota requires, like ice barrier extending 24 inches inside your exterior wall line on replacement.
Our Owens Corning Platinum Preferred status, earned by fewer than 1% of contractors nationwide, means your restoration carries real manufacturer backing, up to 50-year warranties on a full replacement. It also means we don't need to invent damage to earn work. If what you have is a repair, we repair it. If it's a claim, we document it properly. If it's nothing, that's your answer, in photos.
Here's how a claim actually works with us. First, the free inspection: we photograph every square of damage, roof, gutters, siding, and soft metals, the evidence your carrier can't argue with. You file the claim with your insurer, and when the adjuster comes out, we're on the roof with them so nothing gets missed. Once the scope is approved, your dedicated production team schedules the build, most roofs in a single day, and we document the completed work for your carrier's final payment. You pay your deductible, never more, and never a dollar before the contract says so.
A storm claim is also the smartest moment to upgrade. Insurance restores what you had; for the cost difference, many homeowners step up to Class 3 impact-rated shingles built for hail alley, which some Minnesota carriers reward with premium discounts on future policies, confirm eligibility with your insurer. Older roofs often come out of a claim better than new: current-code ice barrier, upgraded ventilation, and synthetic underlayment where organic felt used to be. We walk you through what insurance covers, what an upgrade costs, and where the line is.
This isn't theoretical here. The May 12, 2022 derecho put golf-ball hail through St. Cloud, Sartell, and Sauk Rapids. The July 13-14, 2024 outbreak dropped hail up to 4 inches near Monticello and Big Lake, the largest in Minnesota that year. July 18, 2025 brought golf-ball hail to Sartell and 2-inch stones to St. Augusta. The September 21, 2025 storm put 2-inch hail across Woodbury and the east metro, and Minnesota's roughly two-year claim window keeps that an active claim season into 2027. In the Brainerd Lakes, the July 2015 windstorm's 70 to 80 mph straight-line winds are still the benchmark, and the 2024 season added over $1.7 million in area damage. If your neighborhood is on any of those maps, an inspection is worth 30 minutes.
On an approved claim, your out-of-pocket cost is your deductible. That's it, and that's the law: Minnesota prohibits contractors from paying, waiving, or rebating any part of it, so a "free roof, we'll eat your deductible" pitch is an illegal one, and a contractor willing to break that law will cut other corners too. Our scope matches the adjuster's approved scope line by line, upgrades are priced in writing before you decide, and if hidden decking damage turns up at tear-off, we photograph it and submit it to your carrier as a supplement rather than surprising you with a bill.
Storm work here follows the maps. Sartell's Blackberry Ridge and Celebration have been hit repeatedly: 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025. Monticello's Featherstone and Sunset Ponds took the 2024 outbreak at prime shingle-failure age. Woodbury's Stonemill Farms and Dancing Waters are in an active claim window from September 2025, with HOA specs we handle directly. And across the Brainerd Lakes, seasonal homes in Nisswa often sit unwatched all winter, so cabin damage gets found in spring, sometimes near the edge of the claim window. Wherever you are within 125 miles of St. Cloud, we've probably already worked your storm.
Getting ready for next season? Our Minnesota hail readiness guide covers what to do before the season, during a storm, and in the first 72 hours after.
Two laws every storm-hit homeowner should know before signing anything:
Minn. Stat. 325E.66: contractors may not pay, waive, rebate, or promise to rebate any part of your insurance deductible, and may not offer you anything of value for an inspection, a claim, or a referral. Anyone offering to "eat your deductible" is breaking Minnesota law.
Minn. Stat. 326B.811: if your repair contract is to be paid from insurance proceeds and your insurer denies the claim, you may cancel the contract within 72 hours of the denial, and the contractor must return your payments within 10 business days.
We follow both laws on every project. That's the baseline, not a selling point, but after a storm it separates the locals from the door-knockers.
Often, yes. The 2022 derecho, the July 2024 outbreak, and the 2025 storms all produced approved claims across our service area. We document the damage with a free inspection and work with your insurer; the claim decision is always your carrier's.
Often you can't from the ground. Hail bruises shingle mats without obvious holes, and wind creases shingles that look flat. Warning signs: dented gutters or downspouts, granules in the downspout splash, dinged soft metals, and neighbors getting roofs replaced. The free inspection settles it with photos.
Nothing, and it comes with a straight answer. If your roof isn't damaged, we tell you so and leave. Minnesota law also prohibits us from offering you anything of value in exchange for an inspection or a claim, so an honest answer is the whole product.
No, and no Minnesota contractor legally can. Minn. Stat. 325E.66 prohibits paying, waiving, or rebating any part of your deductible. A contractor offering to do it is breaking the law, and that should tell you how they'll treat your roof.
Most Minnesota policies allow roughly two years from the date of loss, which means the September 2025 east-metro hail is an active claim season into 2027. Exact windows vary by policy, so check yours, and don't sit on suspected damage: undocumented roofs are harder to claim as time passes.
We're on the roof with them. Our photo documentation is already done, so the meeting is about making sure every damaged square, vent, and flashing makes the approved scope, not about hoping the adjuster spots it all in twenty minutes.
You have options. If the denial looks wrong against our documentation, a re-inspection can be requested. And Minnesota law (Minn. Stat. 326B.811) gives you the right to cancel a storm-repair contract within 72 hours of a claim denial, with your payments returned within 10 business days.
Storm claims are typically treated as acts of God rather than at-fault claims, but rating practices vary by carrier and by how many claims your area files after a big event. That question is worth asking your agent directly; we won't pretend to answer it for them.
Yes. Insurance restores what you had; many homeowners pay the difference to step up to Class 3 impact-rated shingles, which some carriers reward with premium discounts on future policies. We price the upgrade in writing so the decision is easy to see.
Once your claim scope is approved and materials are in, most roofs are built in a single day by a dedicated production team, with the completed work documented for your carrier's final payment.
