What you are looking at
The house is a small one-story with dark gray lap siding, white window trim and a side entry under a front-facing gable. One gable peak has its siding laid in a chevron pattern.
The brick chimney runs up the outside wall and through the eave, and the roof close-up shows the new shingles worked around it, with a box vent set just beside it.
Black box vents are spaced along the ridge, and the ridge line is capped in matching charcoal.
This is a corner lot in an established Waite Park neighborhood with sidewalks, alleys and mature trees.
The siding is a narrow lap profile in dark slate gray, and it runs up into the gables, so the charcoal roof and the walls read almost as one color from the street. The white window trim breaks that up.
A tall exterior chimney like this one has to be flashed where it passes up through the roof edge, which makes it one of the trickier spots on a small roof. The rooftop photos also show the side entry's small gable tying into the main roof.
TAMKO builds Titan XT with a reinforced AnchorLock layer in the nailing area and rates it UL 2218 Class 3 for impact, with a limited wind warranty up to 160 mph under its high wind installation method. On a Waite Park roof, a shingle that stays nailed flat in summer wind is also one that keeps drifting snow and meltwater from getting under the edges.
