What you are looking at
The building has tan textured stucco walls, a few small windows and a white service door. The new shingles are a brown blend with tan and russet tones that sits well against the stucco.
Two of the roof photos look straight down the peak, where a continuous ridge vent runs the length of the roof under a row of capped ridge shingles. A ridge vent lets warm, moist attic air out at the highest point of the roof, which matters in winter, when that moisture would otherwise condense under the deck.
At the eave, a brown metal edge finishes the roof line above the stucco wall. One gable end has an open-sided lean-to shelter on wood posts with a riding mower and a utility vehicle parked under it, and a steel pole building stands farther back on the lot.
Oaks and maples in full fall color ring the yard, and the lawn was covered in leaves when the finished photos were taken.
Under the Desert Rose color, Duration is built around Owens Corning's SureNail strip, a woven fabric band in the nailing zone that gives each nail more to hold, and Owens Corning rates it for winds up to 130 mph and UL 2218 Class 3 impact. That matters in Brainerd twice a year: in summer storms, and again when snow drifts and melts along the eaves.
