What you are looking at
The siding color was an upgrade added by change order, a deep green-gray from the color collection named on the worksheet. White window trim, white soffit and fascia, and white gutters and downspouts frame it.
The windows have wide white trim surrounds that stand out against the darker wall. The basement windows are glass block, and a ductless mini-split unit sits on the back wall.
On the roof side of the job, rotten decking was replaced before the new shingles went on. Soft or rotted decking will not hold nails well, so it has to come out once it is exposed.
The photos were taken on a bright fall day, with yellow leaves on the lawn, a big shade tree in the back yard and a patio set up outside the back door.
Duration is built around Owens Corning's SureNail strip, a woven fabric band in the nailing zone, and Owens Corning rates it for winds up to 130 mph. Nails that hold through a St. Cloud summer storm are the same nails that keep wind-driven snow from lifting an edge in January.
