What you are looking at
The house has white lap siding, a raised lower level and a long gable roof. The deck wraps the back and side of the house, and the roof edge photo shows the gutter running right above it.
Along the ridge, a line of box vents sits just below the peak, and new pipe flashings seal the plumbing vents where they come through. One close-up shows a vent hood with the shingle courses above it lapped over its flange, which keeps water moving down and over the vent instead of under it.
The gable end photo shows the full roof line from the side, with the siding running up to a tidy rake edge and the lower level finished in white below it.
From the roof you can see the neighborhood: big lots, detached outbuildings, a blacktop driveway and a chain-link fence along the back yard.
Titan XT is a UL 2218 Class 3 architectural shingle with TAMKO's reinforced AnchorLock nailing layer, which TAMKO rates for winds up to 160 mph when it is installed to its high wind specification. On an Otsego roof, a shingle that stays nailed flat in summer wind is also one that keeps drifting snow and meltwater from getting under the edges.
