What you are looking at
The shingles are a weathered brown and gray blend. From the drone you can see a shingle-capped ridge vent along each main ridge, brown valley metal where the wings meet and a brick chimney flashed into the new roof.
A skylight on the main roof was worked into the new shingles, and the close-up shows the metal apron at its base. On the back, a bay window has its own small hipped roof, shingled in the same blend.
The house has brown lap siding, white window trim, brown downspouts and a paver walkway to the front entry. Wood decks off the back face the trees.
The garage is a wide gable building in the same brown siding with white trim around its two overhead doors and service door. Its ridge vent runs the full length of the peak, and a scattering of early fall leaves had already landed on the new shingles.
Duration FLEX in Driftwood is made with SBS rubberized asphalt, so it stays more flexible than a standard shingle in cold weather, and it carries UL 2218 Class 4, the highest impact rating there is. That combination fits Nisswa, where hail comes in summer and deep cold sets in for winter.
